WORCESTER centre Ben Hinshelwood scored his first try Scotland today in the 38-3 defeat of Samoa in Wellington.
After a cagey first 40 minutes Scotland led just 11-3 but secured coach Matt Williams his first taste of Test success when Hinshelwood, Ally Hogg, Simon Webster and Mike Blair all added to Gordon Ross' opening try.
Scotland trailed after Roger Warren's fifth-minute penalty but slowly turned the screw.
They moved ahead just before the half-hour when Chris Paterson, who finished with 13 points, landed his second of three penalties.
