HEREFORDSHIRE welcome back former England fast bowler Martin McCague for their first round Minor Counties Cricket Association Trophy tie with neighbours Shropshire at Colwall tomorrow (noon).
McCague takes the place of Chris Edwards in a team showing just that one change from the side which narrowly failed to beat Wiltshire in the opening Minor Counties Championship fixture of the season last week.
This means teenage seamer Josh Hornyold gets a second chance to impress on his home ground, while another youngster, Kington's David Exall, also retains his place in the middle order.
Herefordshire, who won the trophy at Lord's in 2000 against Cheshire, will be hoping for better luck than they experienced in the competition last year. On that occasion they were eliminated in a bowl-off against Staffordshire after rained washed any hopes of a proper game.
Shropshire are expected to include former Warwickshire off-spinner Neil Smith as well as ex-Worcestershire all-rounder Duncan Catterall.
