THE jury was continuing its deliberations today in the trial of a Worcestershire store chief accused of being involved in downloading child porn from the internet.

David Mosley, aged 59, of Ombersley Road, Worcester, has denied inciting the distribution or showing of indecent photographs in 1999.

The prosecution alleges that Mosley, who was manager of the Currys store in Evesham, but gave up the post through pressure of work to become deputy manager.

He was traced after an investigation called Operation Ore - to track down people who had logged on to an American child porn site.

Mosley was arrested after his credit card records were checked and he was found to have had two accounts rendered by Landslide Productions, the US collection agency for the porn sites.

Prosecuting, Jonathan Gosling said it was impossible to access the site by accident.

Full personnel details and credit card particulars had to be given.

Mosley, said to be a man of good character, claimed he had paid the credit card bills without releasing what they were for.

In his closing speech, Michael Aspinall, defending, said Mosley had been foolish to pay his credit card bills without checking the statements.

A search of his home had not revealed any pornographic images.

Mr Aspinall urged the jury of five women and seven men not to be swayed by speculation or prejudice.
