A BEGGAR who has been convicted more than 50 times of drink and disorder offences has been given an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO).
James Dawson Wilson has been involved in street drinking and aggressive begging in Worcester for more than a decade.
The 42-year-old, of Avon Road, Ronkswood, appeared before city magistrates on Wednesday.
Sgt Chris Allen, anti-social behaviour co-ordinator for the South Worcestershire Partnership said: "Wilson is routinely abusive when challenged by police.
"When drunk or drugged, however, his behaviour changes, resulting in aggressive behaviour."
Worcester magistrates imposed a five-year, pre-sentence ASBO, which prohibits Wilson from loitering or begging and from being drunk in public.
