WORK to replace Upton viaduct begins on Monday, August 2, and is expected to take around 35 weeks.
The work will be carried out by Norwest Holtz, which has been awarded the contract to rebuild the crumbling structure.
Work on a temporary diversion route to carry two-way traffic during the construction was due to begin this week, while the moving of Boyes Meadow Caravan Park to the north side of the viaduct has already begun.
Paul Jameson, Worcestershire County Council's head of highways, said: "The diversion route will be two-way with lighting and will provide for all vehicles including HGVs with no weight restriction.
"For safety reasons a 20mph speed limit will be imposed at the western end of the diversion route."
A meeting to discuss the progress of the project will take place tonight (Friday) at the Memorial Hall, at 7pm.
West Worcestershire MP Sir Michael Spicer will attend, along with representatives from Worcestershire County Council and the Malvern Hills Highways Partner-ship.
