MALVERN Ladies FC had a very good season which saw them as Kidderminster Ladies League champions and losing finalists in the Kidderminster Hospital Cup.

At the end of a busy season, 16 players and supporters travelled to Holland to test their footballing skills against the Dutch.

After a ferry crossing on the Friday evening, the first game was played early Saturday morning against Ste Do Co. Malvern came out 3-1 winners with a hat-trick from leading goalscorer for the season Emily Prosser.

On Sunday they played against AS Waterwijk and lost 6-1, their only goal being scored by Hayley Newell. Both games were played in good spirits showing an excellent standard of football.

The journey home had most people sleeping, probably not due to the football but the evening hospitality at the hotel.

It was a good experience for all involved with Malvern Ladies FC and they would like to thank DIR International for arranging the tour.

The new season for the club starts the first Sunday in September and all the girls are looking forward to defending their league title.

Malvern Ladies are looking for players to add to their squad, anyone interested should contact Dennis Coxhead on 01684 560188 or Chris Burton on 01684 560791 for further information. Games are played on Sunday afternoons and training is on Thursday evenings.
