THE Manor Park Tennis Club junior players have been busy.
Last Sunday four U12s were selected to play for Malvern District in the Worcestershire youth games at Nunnery Wood.
They were Lizzie Gorton. Sophie Dean, Douglas Howie and Charlie Titmus. They all played excellently and Lizzie Gorton won all her five games helping the girls team into a well deserved third place.
During recent weeks a lot of the players have been competing in the Road to Wimbledon competition.
The winners and runners-up, Richard Tuck, Ben Marks, Nancy Zhang and Lizzie Gorton, are through to the final knockout tournament at Manor Park next weekend.
The winners of this tournament will win the coveted prize of a chance to play at Wimbledon and to meet some of Britain's top players, including Tim Henman.
