OUR Home Secretary changed the law to set himself up as fully in charge of the country's police force.
Now he is calling on the full force of the law to suspend a senior police officer for lack of duty, i.e. keeping and passing on records of offenders.
But now we learn that no system was set up by the Government to facilitate this transmission of information.
As the Home Secretary is not only a member of this Government, but also in charge of the police forces in Britain, surely it is he who should be suspended.
TERENCE AMBLER,
Worcester.
