WEST Malvern CC held the Beswick Paper Annual Junior six-a-side tournament at Mathon Court.

The event was attended by junior teams from around the two counties and a large contingent of parents and members of the public were there to support their teams.

With the forecast indicating prolonged periods of rain, the teams were extremely lucky to avoid many of the showers and play was only interrupted once.

The day was all about healthy competition and friendly rivalry. The teams battled it out in a limited overs run chase with Eastnor becoming champions after a marvellous victory against Canon Frome.

Support from the crowd was excellent, and was warranted because the standard of play was of the highest quality.

Alan Scott, who presented the first ever junior six-a-side trophy 12 years ago, was on hand to present the cup again to the winners Eastnor.
