A TEACHER has admitted performing a sex act in front of two young girls in a Droitwich park.

Dominic Peberdy, of Frankley Avenue, Halesowen, admitted a charge of engaging in a sexual activity in the presence of a child when he appeared before Worcester Magistrates Court.

The offence took place on June 28 when the two girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons, cycled into the park, said Mary Morgan, prosecuting.

"They noticed a man wearing shorts, loitering in the woods," she said.

Mrs Morgan said the girls found three pornographic magazines on the bench and walked off with them, followed by the 36-year-old defendant.

Peberdy and the girls then went back to the wood, discussed some of the pictures, then he asked them to watch him perform a sexual act, said Mrs Morgan.

Mrs Morgan said the girls moved away, but saw Peberdy performing the act and the girls told their parents and police as a result of the incident.

The prosecutor said Peberdy was currently being investigated by police for allegedly downloading pornographic images from the internet.

David Dollery, defending, said: "Mr Peberdy is a school teacher, or should I say was until a few seconds ago.

"His life is in ruins. He probably needs help. He has a relationship with a young lady which has come into difficulties as a result of recent events."

Mr Dollery said his client had not been charged with any internet offences and had been bailed by police until August 25. Peberdy's case was committed to Worcester Crown Court for Friday, August 6.
