WORRIED parents and residents opposed to a mobile phone mast going up near their neighbourhood school have vowed to take the matter to their MPs.
Members of the Claines Resident's Association and parents met at Claines Church of England Primary School last night, to find an effective course of action against the masts, which they fear could harm their children because of radiation.
The row has recently blown up in the village north of Worcester, because a fourth mast has been erected 450 yards from the school.
Jan Boxall, a parent with two children at the school, and nearby resident said hearsay needed to be cleared away before mast-opposers could agree on a concrete plan of action.
"There were about 30 people at the meeting and a whole range of emotions were on display - anger, concern and some despondency because of what we are up against," she said.
"We agreed to take this matter up with our MPs, because this is a national matter."
n On Thursday, October 14, the Vodafone mast will be discussed at Wychavon District Council's development control committee.
