A PRIMARY school in Worcester is celebrating after it was the only one in the county to claim a prestigious award for its worldwide links.
St Clement's CE Primary School has won the International School Award for the second time and headteacher Maggie Goodwin will travel to London tomorrow to collect it.
The award recognises good practice among schools where international links are firmly embedded in the curriculum.
"It's the second time we have got it and it's great," said Mrs Goodwin. "It's the culmination of several years work from all the staff."
The Henwick Road primary, in St John's, has links with schools in Denmark, Finland, Ireland and even India.
Three Danes visited last week to study maths lessons, while Mrs Goodwin will travel to Manila, in the Philippines, soon for a global citizenship award.
