I BELIEVE that in the year 2000, all members of Parliament agreed that it would be illegal for cyclists to ride on pavements, and if they did so they would be fined £100.
People are still doing this and they are not all children. Of course, the manpower is needed to catch these lawbreakers, and I'm afraid I do not know who is responsible for enforcing this law, but I feel sure some one on the transport committee knows and should try and see the law of the country is upheld.
Any fines could be put to help the council implement some of the things they say they cannot afford.
