Police are expected to reveal this afternoon the identity of a man found dead in the River Teme, near Eastham Bridge, Tenbury Wells on Monday night.
Environment Agency staff had been working on the river during the day and, in mid-afternoon, discovered the body trapped below the water downstream from the weir at Meadows Mill.
Police would not confirm whether the body was missing man Brian Tongue, who was last seen leaving his home on Temeside Close in Tenbury a week last Sunday, October 3.
