THEATRE buffs could be swayed by some 'wayward women' in a production coming to Droitwich Spa's Norbury Theatre this Saturday.
The touring theatre production Wayward Women, which is a wickedly funny, darkly moving drama for adults, follows three contemporary women exploring the witches' creed, 'to know, to will, to dare, to keep silent'.
It will be at the Friar Street venue for one night only and Spa's very own Sarah Thomas-Lane will be treading the boards.
Talking about when she first read the script for Wayward Women, she said: "Reading the script for the first time was hysterical, especially the scene about bonding with your private parts."
Co-director Kin Davies added: "The play was inspired by real people - three women who all live in the Evesham area. A great deal of research went into the development.
"The whole point is that the play isn't meant to offend. Our motto is 'Entertainment, Empowerment, Enchantment', and we've made sure that Wayward Women achieves all three."
The group has been touring all over Worcestershire, appearing in a variety of venues from village halls to fully-fledged theatres so should give a sparkling show on the night.
The performance will start at 7.45pm. For any enquiries about the show call Kayelle Productions on 01386 871583.
