ST JOHN'S artist David Birtwhistle was on hand to present prizes to the winners of an art competition.
Amateur artists, both young and old, gathered at the Bowls Pavilion in Cripplegate Park, off Tybridge Street, Worcester, for the presentation ceremony.
The competition, organised by the Friends of Cripplegate Park, called on people to submit artwork with the park's renovated fountain as the subject. Awards were handed out to the winners of the four categories - up to seven, eight to 11, 12 to 16 and 17 years and above.
Special certificates for groups were also awarded to Manor Park Special School, Turnpike Close, and Dines Green Primary School, Tudor Way, and the Happylands Out of School Centre, Church Lane, in Whittington. The presentation took place last week.
