WEDNESDAY CLUB: Members met on October 6 when Mrs M Boath presided. After the distribution of birthday cards a new member, Mrs Ivy Edkins, was welcomed. The trip to Weston-super-Mare was enhanced by beautiful sunshine which made a very pleasant day. The Christmas shopping to Milton Keynes takes place on Tuesday, November 23.
Friends from Badsey joined members for the afternoon and were entertained by a group of ladies from Offenham. Mrs Peggy Miller gave the vote of thanks.
Cakes for tea were donated by Mrs Seddon, Mrs Russell and Mrs Brain and tea was served by Mrs Neal and helpers. The annual bring and buy sale is next month.
