STOURPORT horse owners Adrian and Terrie Hyde-Brazier are feeling "sky high" after their filly reached the pinnacle of success in British competition.
Docs Summer Sky, an American quarter horse, won the AQHA Open All-Around High Point Championships, in impressive style.
The competition is made up of a series of shows testing horses on a variety of skills and attributes including presentation and obedience.
Sky amazed judges from America and Europe by finishing first in 10 out of 11 shows - becoming the first horse in Britain to boast such a good record.
The filly was also crowned as British year end champion in four separate events: halter (in hand), trail, reining and hunter under saddle, while she was runner up in the western pleasure category.
Owner Terrie Hyde-Brazier is now preparing her horse for the European Championships in Germany next year.
She said: "Last year Sky was one of only 25 quarter horses in the world to gain the title of AQHA Champion out of four million registered at the age of only three.
"It was hard to believe that she could top it in 2004, but she has! What a girl!"
