MAURICE Bissell won the Kidderminster Chess Club Championship, beating John Wrench in the final.
He also drew his game when captaining Worcestershire against Staffordshire at Worcester.
In that game, Terry Pountney made a winning debut for the first team, but Staffordshire won 10.5-5.5.
