TENBURY: Police have identified the body found in the River Teme on Monday as Brian Tongue, who went missing from hishome eight days earlier.
Mr Tongue, of Temeside Close, Tenbury Wells, was a 61-year-old retired dentist.
His body was trapped underwater and discovered by Environment Agency staff, near Eastham Bridge, down steam from the weir at Meadows Mill, Tenbury.
A post mortem was held yesterday and Worcestershire Coroner Victor Round, will open and adjourn an inquest at 1pm on Tuesday, October 19.
