IT WAS honours even for neighbours Chaddesley Cor-bett and Stourport as they played out a 19-19 draw in North Mids Two South.

Nick White's last gasp penalty deep into injury time earned Chaddesley a share of the spoils and it was probably a fair result.

Within two minutes of the kick off Stourport went 3-0 ahead when Chaddesley were penalised for offside and fly half Lee Philp kicked the penalty.

Chaddesley responded well and drew level on seven minutes with Rowan Vorster slotting a drop goal following a scrum on the Stourport 22.

The hosts took the lead three minutes later when Stourport were penalised at a scrum just inside their own half and White kicked from 48 metres to make the score 6-3.

Chaddesley again failed to properly deal with the Stourport restart and Philp brought the sides level again with a simple penalty.

They had an opportunity to restore their lead on 16 minutes but White pushed his penalty attempt narrowly wide of the post and spurned another on the stroke of half-time.

Before then Stourport were penalised for holding onto the ball in a ruck. Back chat to the referee resulted in the penalty being advanced with White making no mistake to make it 9-6. But once again Cha-ddesley were caught out. After a failure to clear their lines and several missed tackles they allowed

Stourport's inside centre Andy Bourne to score the first try of the game which Philp converted to put Stourport 13 - 9 ahead at the break.

It was Philp's turn to miss a penalty as Stourport started the second half brightly but he soon made amends when they were awarded another and he extended their lead to 16-9.

Another missed penalty from Philp during Stourport's best period allowed Cha-ddesley back into the game and from a quickly taken kick Vorster went over for a try converted by White.

It was 16-16 and a tense finale was in store, made all the tenser when Philp kicked another penalty to edge his side in front.

But Chaddesley threw everything at Stourport and almost did enough to win it, only to be penalised for handling the ball in a ruck deep in injury time.

White kept his nerve to convert the penalty with the last kick of the match to leave the final score 19-19.
