Old Halesonians 7, Evesham II 11pts
EVESHAM'S winning streak continued following Saturday's close-fought contest with last season's Merit Table runners-up.
Defensive play dominated the day with both sides showing determination and grit but the visiting pack took control of the scrums and managed to secure several of against the head.
The wind and general conditions dominated open play with the only points in the first half coming from the boot of Rick Taylor who gave his side a 6-0 interval lead.
The second half saw much of the same with few scoring opportunities for both sides. It was well inside the last ten minutes when a well-worked blindside move resulted in Taylor going over in the corner.
Old Halesonians fought back hard and secured their only points of the day with a converted try right on the stroke of full-time.
