PERSHORE Town have parted company with manager Nigel Russell following last Satur-day's home defeat against Bloxwich Town.
Recently appointed director of football Richard Anson took control of the side for Monday night's Worcester Senior Urn first round tie at Worcester City that ended in a 4-2 extra-time defeat.
After the heady heights of the previous week's victory over high flying Pilkington XXX, Pershore followed up with a midweek reverse with a second successive Midland Combination defeat at the hands of the unbeaten Premier Division outfit.
Two goals in each half sentenced Town to another defeat and Russell became the latest casualty of a season that has seen plenty of comings and goings on the player front.
