A DRAMA following three contemporary women as they begin to explore the witches' creed "to know, to will, to dare, to keep silent..." is being staged in Wyre Forest this month.
Wayward Women by award-winning writer Simon Andrew Stirling is being staged at the Rose Theatre on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22.
The touring production is hyped as a "wickedly funny, darkly moving drama" and was inspired by three Worcestershire women, according to co-director Kim Davies.
"Our motto is 'entertainment, empowerment, enchantment' and we've made sure that Wayward Women achieves all three," she said.
"It does get very dark and nasty in a couple of places, which is why there is a 14 plus age limit on it, but the comedy element of it is absolutely fabulous."
She added: "We're terribly excited about Wayward Women and it's started to get some really good reviews."
Her husband and director, Lynn Davies, went on: "Simon's work inevitably gets under your skin. He has the gift of being hilarious and disconcerting at the same time ... the three characters are terrific - they manage to be funny, charming, alarming and very, very real."
The cast of three includes Eric Geraghty, who spent three years in the BBC Birmingham television series, Angels, and starred in the channel four drama Naked.
It also includes Kay Little, who formerly appeared across the region with the touring theatre, Rambling Roses, and Sarah Thomas-Lane, who has appeared in the television shows Dalziel and Pascoe and Merseybeat.
More information and tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, can be obtained by calling the Rose Theatre box office on 01562 743745.
