AT LAST Sunday's Riding Club's Area 18 Hunter Trials qualifier at Tetbury, Jan Stout of Cropthorne and Evesham Vale RC was placed first in the Novice section to qualify for the Championships in Peterborough next spring.
Helen Goodwin, riding as an individual for the club, was placed second in the Open section, while the novice team of Stout, Margaret Boyd, Hilary Bliss and Ian Paxton finished fifth with Boys second in the individual standings.
At the same event the junior team of Katherine Worrall, Jamie Goss, Amy Furness and Fel-icity Organ also finished first and qualified for Peterborough.
The final events of the Mercian League saw a CEVRC team of Boyd, Bliss, Helen Goodwin and Julie Devy finish fifth in the One-Day Event.
Eleven teams took part in the traditional end of season quiz and Crop-thorne Crackers (Goodwin, Jackie Cunliffe, Tracy and Brett Paxton) were placed fourth. The club finished the season in third place, its highest in the league for several years.
