Stoke Prior-based PolymerLatex has been singled out for praise by the Environment Agency's Spotlight publication - a national report which evaluates business environmental performance.
The Stoke Prior latex manufacturer was one of just two companies profiled in the chemical sector of the brochure, which is distributed throughout England and Wales.
The report commended PolymerLatex for its installation of new environmentally-friendly equipment, and summarised the company's actions in a case study as an example of how other companies should work.

In particular, it praised the installation of a thermal oxidiser, which burns off gases expelled while making latex, and a new boiler that generates steam to supply heat for the process.
"We have worked with the Environment Agency very closely over the last few years to improve our environmental performance, and are thrilled to be given such public recognition," said Andreas Ostrowicki, PolymerLatex director.
"We are extremely committed, not only to protecting the environment, but also local residents."
