POLICE in Worcester have renewed an appeal for witnesses after a man was knocked unconscious and robbed of £155 in the city's Cornmarket toilets.
The first attacker is described as being dark-skinned and bald-headed and was addressed by the second person as 'Scott'. There is no description of the second assailant.
The injured man was head-butted shortly after extracting the money from a cash-point machine, at around 10.45am on Thursday, October 7.
"The victim may have lain on the floor for some minutes after the attack, so it is likely that a number of people would have seen him," said a police spokesman.
"We know one man did - but he has not come forward so far."
Police also urged members of the public to be careful when extracting money from bank machines.
Anyone with information is asked to call Worcester police on 08457 444888, quoting 62C/081004.
n A YOUTH and a man were arrested in Ransom Avenue, St Peter's, Worcester, at 11.45pm on Monday on suspicion of theft. They were bailed to return to Worcester Police Station while enquiries continue.
