Next Friday, October 22, Flicks in the Sticks return to Bosbury with a screening of Seabiscuit. Listed as one of their top ten films, it tells the story of Margaret O'Hara, haunted by her jockey brother's death, who agrees to marry Ted Knowles but only under the condition that he gives up horseracing. But when her uncle convinces Ted that a horse named Seabiscuit will triumph only with Ted in the saddle, the clever man must convince his niece that she'll come out a winner too. The performance is at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall. Tickets available on the door.
This month's coffee morning is on Saturday, October 23, 10.30am-noon, in the Parish Hall. It will have a local craft theme, with talented village artists displaying their wares. An ideal opportunity to buy early Christmas gifts.
On Sunday, at Holy Trinity Bosbury, holy communion is at 8am and children's church 10am. Next Sunday, October 24 is Bible Sunday and evensong is at 6.30pm.
A special All Saints service will be held at Holy Trinity Bosbury on Sunday, October 21 at 3pm.
