AN Earl's Croome pub that adopted a no smoking policy six months ago says it has seen a rise in trade.
The Yorkshire Grey was one of the first pubs in the county to ban smoking and landlord Steve Potts said trade has never been better.
"So many people come in now just because it's a non-smoking pub. As people get to know about it, more and more come in," he said.
Mr Potts made the decision to ban smoking following the amount of requests he had for non-smoking tables in the restaurant area. He said the news had not gone down well with everyone, but most welcomed it.
"At the end of the day there's so many pubs in this area, you've got the choice. You're the customer in a non-smoking pub and if you don't want to be a part of that, you can go elsewhere," he said.
