HEREFORD United chief Graham Turner is not worried about his side's poor run of form as they prepare to host mid-table Woking in the Nationwide Conference tomorrow.
The Bulls have failed to chalk up a league victory this month, after a goalless draw at home to Burton Albion followed by losses at Dagenham & Redbridge and Accrington Stanley, United's first back-to-back defeats since April 2003.
A miserable October has so far seen United slip from second to fifth in the table, leaving them seven points adrift of league leaders Barnet.
Turner reverted to a 4-4-2 system for the live televised clash at Stanley, welcoming back Rob Purdie and Ryan Green to replace Mark Robinson and Tom Smith, but the strategy failed to produce the right result.
However, Turner saw enough positive signs to give the new formation another go against the Cards who boast an impressive record at Edgar Street with four wins from seven trips.
He said: "Up to a point, I thought the formation worked well against Accrington but there were certain aspects that disappointed me.
"We will need to improve on our crossing techniques and the final ball in to the box because that's what was missing. We have been working on that in training and hopefully that will improve."
Asked if he was worried about recent performances, Turner added: "I'm not that concerned. I was after the Dagenham game but there was a big improvement to our overall game at Accrington. I thought we played reasonably well at times, we had plenty of good breaks, but we should have produced more clear-cut chances.
"Woking are one of the better Conference sides and I don't expect them to come here just for a point. They play good football and they know they can beat us, they did so last season."
Turner is expected to field an unchanged side although United's leading scorer Adam Stansfield, named Conference player of the month for September, could get the nod ahead of Lee Mills.
Defender Tamika Mkandawire completes a three-match ban following his red card against Burton and Smith missed training this week with a stomach bug.
Andy Williams is struggling with a back problem picked up during United reserves' 2-1 win over Kidderminster Harriers on Wednesday.
Midfielder Jamie Pitman has resumed basic fitness training after also struggling with a back injury for two weeks.
Woking travel to Edgar Street on the back of a stirring 2-1 win against Halifax Town with Ian Selley scoring a late winner from the penalty spot.
The Cards' manager Glenn Cockerill may be tempted to draft Karl Murray into a five-man midfield with Justin Richards the lone forward.
