STOURPORT Swifts manager Dave Titterton will be forced to change his team's style of play tomorrow as they head to Sutton Coldfield in Southern League Division One West (3pm) gunning for swift revenge.

Sutton enter the clash with the mental edge, having dumped Swifts out of the Staffordshire Senior Cup at Walshes Meadow on Tuesday in a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw.

But Titterton insists the cup defeat, his 100th game in charge of Swifts, is unlikely to have a dampening effect on his side who look to uphold an impressive start to the league campaign.

Stourport are fourth following their biggest win in 18 months last Saturday, a 5-0 thrashing of Paulton Rovers with Duncan Willetts scoring a brace.

And they have lost just once on the road against derby rivals Bromsgrove Rovers.

Titterton has been delighted with recent performances but admits it will be difficult to reproduce the same form that destroyed Paulton, claiming Sutton's Coles Lane pitch is 'one of the worst' for playing slick football.

He said: "I will have to change the way we play because we must adapt to Sutton's pitch. It's a case of not looking to play through midfield and maybe having to get the ball out wide as much as possible.

"I know what to expect off Sutton and they probably won't change much from Tuesday night. They are a big strong team with two good lads up front and a lot of movement. However, much of their football is direct.

"They were delighted after beating us on penalties but I was concerned less about the result and more about the performance, which I thought was top drawer again.

"The lads have proved this season they are capable of playing at this level. We thumped Paulton and that result was waiting to come. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again soon."

But there are several injury doubts with Willetts (knee), Mark Jones (leg), Andy Checketts (groin) and Paul Lloyd (ankle) all picking up knocks.
