MALVERN'S junior table tennis squad has taken their place at the highest level.
The squad travelled to Aldersley Leisure Village at the weekend to make their debut in the Junior British League, considered to be the highest standard of junior table tennis in the country.
Having qualified to play in the event in August, the squad was drawn against two teams from Cumbria and one each from Hull, Romford and Southampton.
Jack Higgs, Anthony Wiseman and Matthew Lang played three matches on Saturday, with a win, a loss and a draw. Mark Griffiths then came in for one of two matches on Sunday, the win and a draw putting the squad in joint second in the league.
Remaining matches will be played in February.
