PUPILS at Pershore High School cooked up poetry in the form of food when National Poetry Day took place.
The theme of the day was food, so the school's youngsters aged 12 to 18 used their imagination to write lots of poems about food, particularly poetry recipes.
Some of the imaginative youngsters also had the chance to read out their work in school assembly when the event took place on Thursday.
"They have had a great time doing it, because it's something additional to the syllabus" said Anita Iddon, head of English.
"It allowed us to be a bit more creative than the syllabus allows us to be.
"It was great fun."
