YEARS ago, when the Spring Gardens Health Centre was built, we were promised that buses would be laid on to take us to the City Walls Road.
This never happened, and the people from Warndon, Ronkswood and so on, have had to walk along Pheasant Street or down Newtown Road and Tallow Hill to reach them.
The only people with a bus along the City Walls Road have been those coming from the Bath Road area.
To now use the excuse for not building the New Health Centre because of lack of buses is plain stupid. It would be easier to walk along Sheriff Street from Tolladine - or what is wrong with the 33 going along Sheriff Street and down Newtown Road, into Middle Road and down Tallow Hill?
The hospital buses already pass by the new site. So think again councillors, and get on with the much-needed new health centre.
