WILDLIFE expert Mark O'Shea sparked a security alert at the House of Commons after guards caught him carrying a knife.
Mr O'Shea, aged 48, who is curator of reptiles at West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley, was arrested by armed police on his way to give a presentation to politicians.
The star of television's O'Shea's Dangerous Reptiles was released after questioning.
Mr O'Shea, who said he forgot he was carrying a 9in hunting knife was "highly embarrassed" by the incident.
