AN avid Evening News reader has had a reunion with a difference - with four generations of her family.

Ninety-four year-old Barbara Williams met her daughter Elizabeth Meeson, aged 68, granddaughter Patricia Reid, aged 46, and 28-year-old great-daughter Elizabeth Sutton at Blackpole's Cranham Drive Nursing Home - and 10-week-old great-great-grandaughter Isabel too.

The family travelled from far and wide for the special gathering.

While Elizabeth also lives in Worcestershire, Patricia came from Weymouth, Dorset, while Elizabeth and Isabel journeyed from Spalding, in Lincolnshire.

It was the first time Barbara - who worked as a cook at Nunnery Wood High School and the Royal Grammar School after moving to Worcester from Liverpool in 1928 - had seen the baby.

While the family spent the day catching up, she also gave Isabel a silver christening bracelet.

"It was nice to see everyone there," said Patricia. "It was also interesting that Elizabeth chose the name Isabel. It turned out that my grandmother's sister was called Isabel, so she was very pleased about that."
