EVESHAM United made it two wins from two matches when David Cairns and Lee Ross scored in the first half of Tuesday night's Southern League Division One West clash at Swindon Supermarine.
The Robins dominated the opening 45 minutes when they produced some slick passing play that tore open the home defence.
The interval scoreline could easily have been doubled as Ross, Jermaine Clarke, Gavin O'Toole, Leon Blake and Steve Duncan all went close before a looping header from Cairns gave United a 29th minute lead.
Two minutes later, O'Toole set up Ross who planted a low drive past Tom King to make it 2-0 and end the match as a contest.
An unchanged visiting side were content to sit on their advantage after the break but they still came closest to adding to the night's goal tally when Clarke crashed a 57th minute shot against the woodwork.
"I can't complain," said assistant manager Paul West yesterday. "I wasn't too disappointed on Saturday with the display but we played really well last night and should have won far more easily.
Tremendous
"Some of our football in the first half was tremendous and even when we sat back I think Tim (Clarke) only had one real save to make."
West, who has been in daily contact with holidaying boss Dave Busst, should welcome back Andy Smith and Marc Burrow for Saturday's trip to unbeaten Burnham and Tuesday night's home date with Taunton Town.
"They should both be fit and I will take a look at things at training," West admitted. "Having them both available again gives me a nice selection headache for what promises to be a difficult game but I feel sure the players can continue to acquit themselves in the correct manner.
"They've shown tremendous character and commitment in the two games so far. Their ability has never been in question, the biggest question has been their temperament."
A coach will be travelling to Burnham and is leaving Evesham High Street bus station at 10.30am. Ring Mike Peplow on 01386 442303 for more details.
Next Tuesday's night's match is being sponsored by WF (Evesham) Ltd, Boat Lane and the ball by Kevin's Butchers, Port Street, Evesham.
