BARNT Green Spartak continued their recent good form with a comfortable 5-0 win at West Midlands Police.
And the winning margin could have been more as the visitors ran them ragged in the second half.
Good work from Warren Sewell set up Alex Lewis who found the net on 20 and 36 minutes with Rodalph Richards headed a third past former Droitwich Spa keeper Simon Williams from a Delroy Brown cross six minutes after the break.
Sewell added his name to the scoresheet on 63 minutes with a smart finish from 12 yards out as Barnt Green began to pile on the pressure.
The rout was complete nine minutes from time when Akbar Ali scored following a good solo run and clipped finish over Williams.
Spartak have now score five goals in each of their last three away matches, a string of results that has seen them climb to fifth in the Premier Division of the Midland Comb.
n An inspired first half display was enough to give Spartak the points in a nine-goal thriller at Alveston in midweek.
GJ Singh's side romped into a 4-0 interval lead only for the home side to haul their way back into contention in the second half.
Sewell put Spartak 2-0 ahead with goals on four and nine minutes with Karrol Hamber adding a third in the 16th minute.
Delroy Brown put a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner to make it 4-0 just past the half-hour mark as Spartak rounded off an impressive opening spell.
The second half began like the first ended with Spartak on the attack and on 47 minutes Adrian Knox made it 5-0 with a good finish from six yards.
But all credit to the home side as they kept their heads up and pulled a goal back on 49 minutes and then began a recovery with two goals on 58 & 70 minutes.
Alveston made it 5-4 in the 90th minute and the drama continued with the referee playing eight minutes of stoppage time, most of it seeing the Warwickshire club pushing to earn a point with Spartak on the back foot.
n The Lye Meadow side take a break from league action this weekend when they travel to Leicestershire outfit Barrow Town in the 1st round of the FA Vase.
Barrow are currently mid-table in the Everards Leicestershire Senior League.
