POLICE are once again warning people to be vigilant after a briefcase was stolen from a car in Wythall between 2-3pm on Friday, October 15.

The black Samsonite briefcase, valued at £100, was stolen from a silver Peugeot 406 parked in Gorsey Lane.

The briefcase also contained a cheque book and documents.

A police spokesman said: "We're appealing to anyone with information regarding this incident to give us a call.

"We're also repeating recent warnings to motorists to give careful consideration to the security of their car and any personal belongings inside it.

"Remember to lock all doors and windows when parking your vehicle and to store any valuables out of sight.

"Any victim of car crime will tell you it's not just the monetary value of what is stolen that bothers them, many items have sentimental value and it can take a great deal of time and effort cancelling bank cards or organising car repairs."

The spokesman added: "By following this advice every time you leave your car, you can avoid becoming a victim of car crime and the distress that goes with it."

Anyone with information on the theft are asked to call Bromsgrove Police on 08457 444 888 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
