DAVE Titterton has snapped up 18-year-old midfielder Callum Gittings for Stourport Swifts who head to Corby Town in Southern League Division One West tonight (7.45).
The teenager has been drafted in from rivals Cinderford Town but is unlikely to make his debut as Swifts manager Titterton plumps for experience at the Rockingham Triangle Stadium.
Stourport, who were beaten 1-0 at Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday, are without four first-team regulars, including Duncan Willetts (knee), Steve Hawkes (virus) and Mark Crisp (holiday).
Full-back Bryan Small is out for more than 12 months after a scan revealed he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
The former Aston Villa defender will now need a reconstruction of his right knee.
Titterton: "It is a massive blow to the club and for Bryan. He is going to see the surgeon before he undergoes any operation. It could be next Christmas when we see him in action again.
"I've played at Corby before and it's a bleak old place to go for a mid-week game. They are struggling for a bit of form and we have to take advantage."
Corby have failed to win at home for nearly a month, since September 29, and new manager Rob Dunion is looking to pick up his first points.
He said: "In the last two matches we have played some good football and have been unlucky in them both to come away with nothing.
"Stourport were also beaten at the weekend and I am sure they will want to get three points to continue their climb up the league table.
"But we must show that we want the points more than they do and fight for everything."
n There are four Midland Floodlit Youth League Southern Division fixtures scheduled tonight.
Bromsgrove Rovers host Cinderford Town, Malvern Town go to Gloucester City, Redditch United tackle Evesham United and Bromyard Town head to Wellington.
