STRIKER Leon Mitchell looks likely to make his Bromsgrove Rovers debut when the Greens take on league leaders Mangotsfield United on Saturday.
The pacey frontman has been snapped up from Travel Factory Midland Alliance side Rushall Olympic and could go straight into the starting line-up.
But manager Joe Jackson is still looking to add to his squad with another forward being lined up for a move to the Victoria Ground.
Hoping
"At present, the squad is shaping up well," the Rovers boss said. "But I am always looking - you should never be happy with what you've got if you want to win things.
"We have brought Leon Mitchell in from Rushall and I am hoping to sign another striker before Saturday's game."
Jackson refused to name his latest target other than to say that he was currently playing his football in the Nationwide Conference.
Rovers have lost just one league game this season - fewer than any other team including leaders Mangotsfield.
But Jackson is refusing to shout about his side's gradual climb up the table, preferring to let the results tell their own tale.
"You could say that I'm quietly jumping off the rooftops," he said. "We have proved we are a tough team to break down but have still drawn too many games.
"Saturday was the first time that we have successfully protected a 1-0 lead and that pleased me. But it is something we still need to work on.
Defender
"We have only played two games in the last month and that meant we stuttered a little bit against Burnham where we were good in parts. But with games on Saturday, Tuesday and Saturday we should get going again."
The Rovers injury list remains lengthy but defender Ross Collins could be in contention for the trip to the West Country after overcoming a niggly thigh strain.
Midfield pair Ryan Mahon and Riad Erraji are at least two weeks away from making a comeback from their respective knee and foot injuries.
But Jackson said he was delighted with the way some of his youngsters have taken the chance to fill the gaps with teenagers Stuart Howe and Richard Langford involved against Burnham.
