Evesham U-13 26pts, Alcester 5
THE youngsters were in action last Sunday when they boasted a strong 15-man squad captained by Russell Boyles.
They made a good start with a strong drive upfield with Mike Diston making a good run over the line to give Evesham an early lead.
The hosts kept up the pressure with an impressive display of teamwork and were rewarded with a second try by newcomer Charlie Stanley.
Diston converted to add to his points total and then added two more points after Luka Grillo's impressive run to the line.
Player of the match Diston then converted his own score as Evesham continued to dominate before the pressure was taken off the visitors with three half-time substitutions.
Alcester upped their game and pushed their hosts all the way with some strong drives that brought the reward of a late try that couldn't deny Evesham a first win of the season.
