DEMOCRACY was alive and kicking at Alcester High School last week as it held its student council elections.
Stratford Council supported the event and provided two officers, voting booths and ballot boxes to help proceedings run smoothly.
The elections were held to elect 14 pupils to the student council and also to vote on a new logo for the council.
A representative from art shop PSW looked at all the entries students had designed and it was whittled down to six finalists- the winning logo was designed by Emma Crocker.
Emma will win a prize and see the finalised logo being created by PSW.
A school spokesman said: "The event went really well and was a huge success, with more than 700 students turning up to vote."
