The annual general meeting of Lickey WI was held at the Parish Hall on October 5. Members exhibited their wide-ranging crafts and hobbies in place of the monthly competition.
Deposits for a coach outing to Cardiff were taken and a social skittles evening was planned for November. The bring & buy stall was well supported and a raffle was drawn.
The financial report was adopted and an auditor was appointed for the forthcoming year.
In her secretary's report, Chris Bould reminded members of the outings and events held during the previous 12 months, the highlight of which had been the 40th birthday in July.
Photographs of the birthday meeting, at which seven founder members had been present, were also displayed.
The current membership of 61 full and four dual members includes five founder members of Lickey WI.
Retiring president Sue Taylor thanked the committee for giving their time and energy and Lickey members for their support during her three years as president.
WI advisor Janice Jones conducted the election of officers. Gwen West, Diana Kiteley and Janet Radcliff joined the committee and Sue Mayne was elected as president.
At the next meeting, to be held on Tuesday, November 2, Mel Mills will give a talk entitled My Gran was a Gypsy.
The competition will be for A cup and saucer.
