TORY candidate Margaret Harper (right) says (Evening News, Tuesday, October 5) that her party would "scrap university tuition fees, restore free higher education, and provide grants for poorer students."
This sounds fine, but now would our cash-strapped universities cope with this loss of revenue? Would the Tories raise income tax to compensate them?
