ELDERLY and vulnerable people are to be issued with personal safety alarms by Bromsgrove police.
The alarms, which make a very loud noise, have been purchased thanks to £1,000 allocated by Bromsgrove Community Safety Partnership.
PC Stan Baker, crime risk manager for Bromsgrove, said: "We will be working with a number of agencies to allocate the alarms to those likely to get the most benefit."
Graham Rocke, partnerships officer for the Bromsgrove Community Safety Partnership, said: "We hope people carrying these alarms will feel reassured."
