NEXT week sees the Palace Youth Theatre's latest production, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13, take centre stage.
The popular tale, adapted for the stage by original author Sue Townsend, covers Adrian's adolescent problems with spots, his parent's crumbling marriage, school, the dog and his unrequited love for Pandora, whilst trying to get his poetry accepted by the BBC.
A spokesman explains: "In his diary, Adrian records the triumphs and tragedies of everyday life with unconsciously wry humour.
"Episodes from the diary, peopled with characters from Adrian's school, home and neighbourhood, are brought to life by the Palace Youth Theatre in this very funny play."
The show runs from Thursday to Saturday, October 28-30 with performances at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £5.50 (£4.50 reddicard, £14 family) from the information centre or by calling 65203.
Ticket requests can also be emailed to palace.bookings@redditchbc.gov.uk.
