IN Oliver Evans' front page article in the Shuttle/Times and News last week on plans to open a cinema, Simon Swaffield is quoted as saying: "One of the main reasons we have chosen Green Street is because it is close to the centre of Kidderminster, so if you get a bus from Stourport or Bewdley then you won't have far to walk."
Mr Swaffield obviously does not use the buses, as there are none between Stourport and Kidderminster after 8pm.
This is hardly conducive to a visit to the cinema or studying at Kidderminster College in the evening.

COULD I just add to the comments made by Mr Swaffield (October 14 issue) who has the commendable ambition to open a Green Street cinema.
While two extra early evening un-publicised bus services have recently been introduced, to both Stourport and Bewdley - easing arrival for evening film showings - there are no return buses afterwards to either town, or Kidderminster suburbs for that matter.
