EVESHAM'S St Richard's Hospice supporters are cooking up a variety of autumnal treats to raise vital cash for the New Hospice Appeal.
Villagers in Peopleton are staging their annual autumn coffee morning and evening, now in its 16th year next Thursday, October 28. Visitors will be able to browse the packed stalls offering knitwear, plants, jewellery and cakes. Shoppers can also take a break and enjoy a delicious bowl of home-made soup.
Organiser Ann Price said: "What started as a small scale event in my house has grown over the years and is now extremely well supported. We have so many people that one of our volunteers is busy making hundreds of mince pies. Lots of people in the village are involved in helping to run it and we hope to top £5,000 for the hospice this year."
The fundraising event will take place at Peopleton village hall from 10.30am to 2pm and from 6.30pm onwards.
