I WAS amazed to read the article about Councillor Robert Wheway's objections to the "mothers and baby" signs at Swan Centre car park in Kidderminster.

Far be it from me to comment on what you consider to be a good story for your newspaper, but my opinion is valid as a tax-payer to comment on what our elected representatives do with their time.

Quite frankly, I am disappointed to see that Councillor Wheway has nothing better to do with his time than ramble on about political correctness.

Everyone knows what the sign means, so fathers out with their children will, of course, use the facility.

In the meantime, perhaps Councillor Wheway could stop wasting council time and get on with something useful.
